    Chipper,

I have seen on E-bay a 6 daisy burner. I guess they were parting out a stove.

Sam would know more on what model it would or would not fit.

The 41CC I considered buying also had a white porcelain top.

    FatFutures, is your top Durachrome?

Oh - Tom Plumeri rigged his in-laws stove up so that thay could use either the thermowell OR a 9000 BTU burner. He did some retrofit work and rigged it so that they could switch in the small burner (without touching the t-well below) in about 5 minutes. Of course, it was the regular burner, not the super-duper version. Now if you could switch in the 12,000 BTU burner, that would be cool.

This will most likely considered blasphemy but... I actually like the fact that I've got four burners (ducking)! I love using my cast iron dutch oven for slow cooking. Everything just TASTES better.

I didn't know that my fourth burner is a higher BTU. That rocks! My first canning experience, once I install my Chambers, is going to be Candied Jalapenos. Some for us and the rest for holiday gift baskets.

Chipper... yes, my 41CC has a Durachrome top. YIPPEEE! My excitement might change if I can't polish it to my satisfaction. The cost of re-plating it scares me.

It seems like everything cycles through ebay eventually. Of course, you could be waiting for a good long time. There are TONS of B parts on right now.

Yep Jenn I've been eyeing some parts on E-bay.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to clean my griddle using amonia like Asfan recommended, but using a method I saw on the Queen of Clean. Or I might bid on the one on E-bay and have a spare. I can not figure out if the high bidder is someone on this board. The bidder is jhfamsix. Anyone know before I bid??

Is piewagon on E-bay a member of this board?? I was thinking if could possibly be Joe. I would just hate to bid against a member of this board!!

Joe placed a bid on the double broiler insert under the name "josepho6444" a couple days ago, so unless he has more than one ebay acct., you're safe.

    Cool

    Hi Y'All,
I'm the owner of the stove listed on Ebay. It's a model 41-C and the rear burner is 12,000BTUs. It has six daisie's and it gives off a lot of heat! Perfect for canning and Dutch Ovens.
If you guys need any more information, before it 'goes', let me know an I will try my best to answer any questions.
Has anyone seen one like it elsewhere?

It was a special promotional range built is 1955 so that Chambers had a stove at a more competitive price. They ran advertisements selling it for $299 and you had to trade in your old stove. I wonder what they did with the trade-ins?

Well, I guess I'm going to have to change my name soon. I finally found a stove that fit all my criteria. I did all kinds of searches on the web and found this one on some obscure classified site. I was surprised when I saw it and it was missing the T-well! It has the large burner on the back. After some carefull thought and consideration, I'm taking her anyway! Please don't make me lament too much!
